[Faculty]

The University of Michigan Emergency Radiology Division represents a specialized group of clinical imagers providing evening and nighttime interpretations primarily for the Emergency Department and Trauma-Burn Service. Over 70,000 visits a year are seen through this rapidly growing Adult and Pediatric Emergency Department. These radiologists collaborate with a broad spectrum of primary care and subspecialists, and see a wide range of both pediatric and adult pathology. The University is a tertiary referral center with a Level 1 Trauma Center, dedicated Burn Unit and Survival Flight crew. Equipment includes a state of the art 64-slice CT scanner with 3-D workstations, both 1.5 and 3T MRI scanners and fully digital PACS/Voice recognition dictation.

Faculty are involved in the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows. They participate in a weekly conference held by the Trauma-Burn surgeons to review interesting and difficult cases with pathologic correlation. The division is also involved in departmental resident conferences and clinical research projects. Faculty include Drs. Suzanne Chong, Alexis Boscak, Estelle Kratochwill , Michael Mazza and James Peters.

For more information, please contact the Emergency Radiology Division Co-Directors, Alexis Boscak, M.D. or Suzanne Chong, M.D.
