Pediatric Radiology
[Faculty] [Fellowship]
The Section of Pediatric Radiology is located in C.S. Mott Children's Hospital at the University of Michigan Health System. Mott Hospital is a tertiary referral center and primary care facility serving a wide area, including the state of Michigan and neighboring states. The hospital is a 165-bed facility with the following breakdown: 100 general or moderate care, 37 neonatal intensive care, and 28 intensive care.

The Pediatric Radiology Division offers a full range of diagnostic services for children, including radiography, fluoroscopic examinations and cross-sectional imaging (CT, MRI and Ultrasound). The faculty and technological staff of the Section are specifically trained to obtain high quality examinations of pediatric patients. Emphasis is placed on optimal imaging of children while minimizing radiation exposure. There are six pediatric radiologists, a fellow and radiology residents assigned to the section. The faculty and fellow are engaged in various research projects as well as in teaching residents and medical students. Medical students may rotate in pediatric radiology. In addition to daily section conferences focusing on interesting cases, subspecialty conferences in general pediatric radiology, neonatology and pediatric urology, surgery, cardiology, and hematology/oncology are also conducted.

For more information, please contact Pediatric Division Director, Peter Strouse, M.D.
