The
Division of Cardiothoracic Radiology offers a one-week fellowship
for physicians interested in receiving cardiac CT training. Materials
that will be distributed includes cardiac CT Reading Material on
CD, Powerpoint printouts from didactic sessions, CT Protocols, heart
rate reduction protocol, and structured cardiac CT report templates.
The course consists
of:

Observation
of cardiac CT acquisitions at the 64-detector Volume CT scanner
(morning/mid day) |
|
Observation
of cardiac CT processing in 3D Lab (adjacent to the VCT) and
interaction with our senior advanced CT applications specialists,
Melissa Muck, RT(R), CT and Karen Barber, BS, RT(R), CT |
|
Didactic
sessions with Cardiothoracic Radiology Faculty, including extensive
time for questions/answers; examples of topics covered included

in daily cardiac and thoracic vascular CT reading sessions in
the Cardiothoracic Radiology Reading Room |

in daily cardiac and thoracic vascular CT reading sessions in
the Cardiothoracic Radiology Reading Room |
|
Independent
cardiac CT case review of a training set of full cardiac cases
at an AW and/or Vitrea workstation, so that trainees can reach
100-150 cases within the one week time period.
